What People Are Saying

"Matthew has been amazing through this whole experience. He has really helped me organize and educated me on many tools and new concepts. His background in psychology has proven really helpful because I internalize the lessons better when there is a 'why' behind the concepts he's introducing."

"My sessions have already been super valuable. We've been identifying the reasons behind some of my struggles that I never realized before, and coming up with solutions. Its motivating, and gives me accountability! Mathew inspired a lot of trust and is really easy to be honest and vulnerable with after only a couple sessions - which is so important when exploring topics like imposter syndrome and shame and how these affect task initiation. I feel like he's invested in my success and excited to help me work on my challenges."

"Matthew is a great coach with high social awareness, emotional intelligence, and great understanding of D&I. He provides actionable strategies on how to improve both my working habits and how I navigate through my work environment. I feel lucky to have him."

"Matthew's coaching sessions are a highlight of my week because they help me to feel I can overcome persistent challenges that have plagued my career."

"Matthew is amazing at helping me reframe challenging situations and providing ideas that will help me better communicate with difficult co-workers. He's a great sounding board and brings a wealth of knowledge, ideas, and tools to our discussions."

"Matthew is the absolute best!!! He has such a calm demeanor and is so easy going that it makes for a pleasant and relaxed - anxiety free space. This allows oneself to be open and receptive to new ideas, learn healthy habits, and cultivate new skills to improve in ones personal and professional life."

 FAQs

  • We begin with a 30-minute consultation to understand your needs and goals. After that, weekly 50-minute meetings are recommended. This regular cadence helps us implement strategies effectively while maintaining steady momentum. On average, clients meet about 10 times over three months, but you have the flexibility to choose what works best for you!

  • The initial consultation is an opportunity to develop a plan. We’ll explore how we can address your needs at a high level. Whether or not you decide to continue with further meetings, we’ll discuss resources to help you take your next steps.

  • In our meetings, we’ll start by reviewing your goals and current situation. We’ll explore existing strategies, identify what’s working, and determine areas of priority. Typically, we focus on one priority topic at a time, which may include:

    • Developing task tracking and planning systems

    • Overcoming task initiation challenges (reducing paralysis and avoidance)

    • Prioritization techniques

    • Organization strategies

    • Effective note-taking

    • Managing internal and external distractions

    • Enhancing communication skills

    • Problem-solving approaches

    • Leveraging energy-boosting activities

This focused approach ensures we make meaningful progress together!

  • All virtual meetings are conducted through the Big Six Connect website. You’ll receive meeting confirmations, reminders, and invoicing - all in one convenient location. We can meet via Zoom or telephone, and you can choose to have your camera on or off; I’ll follow your lead. It’s important that you take your meeting in a comfortable space where you feel at ease discussing your goals and progress.

  • During our meetings, I encourage you to share your authentic experiences, including both the challenges and wins you encounter each week. This insight helps me partner effectively with you on your goals. Each week, you’ll be invited to implement at least one strategy related to your objectives. Think of it as a chance to be a "social scientist" - we’ll formulate a hypothesis, identify fixed and influenced variables, and observe the outcomes together. This is a collaborative journey where you take the lead in your experiments each week!

  • My background specializes in the intersection of Executive Functioning and Disability, specifically invisible disabilities such as ADHD, Anxiety, Autism, Chronic Conditions, Depression, Dyslexia, OCD, PTSD, and TBI.

  • We operate on a private pay model, so we do not process insurance. However, you can discuss obtaining a letter of medical necessity with your healthcare provider, which may allow you to use HSA/FSA funds to cover the cost of our meetings. We recommend consulting your tax professional to determine your eligibility.

  • Yes, I do! I primarily support roles in the tech industry, including both technical positions (such as Software Development Engineer, Software Development Manager, and Technical Program Manager) and non-technical roles (like Program Manager, Product Manager, Data Analyst, HR, and Customer Service). I also work with positions in education and human services. Since executive functioning impacts all human behavior, strategies can be tailored to nearly any role.

If you’re an employer interested in vendor options, please send me an email. If you’re an employee seeking support that you will request through your employer - feel free to schedule a free 30-minute consultation.
